Therefore the protpi.ch domain was migrated to a server with a static IP address and a security certificate was issued. The reason for this is to keep your sensitive information sent across the internet encrypted so that only Prot pi and you can understand it. This is important because the information you send on the internet is passed from computer to computer to get to the destination server. Any computer in between you and Prot pi can see the information you sent, if it is not encrypted with an SSL certificate. With the use of an SSL certificate, the information becomes unreadable to everyone except Prot pi.
